A Dream Inspired by Our Daughters

Amp'd began with a simple idea inspired by our own daughters' love of dance.

Like many dance families, we spent years travelling to classes, competitions and rehearsals. Along the way, we realised there was something missing.

Our daughters loved learning from different choreographers but sometimes found it difficult to access workshops outside their own studio environment. It wasn't about the studios themselves—it was about creating more opportunities for dancers to experience new teachers, new styles and new perspectives.

As we spoke with other families, teachers and dancers, we realised many shared the same wish.

What if there was a place where every dancer could access incredible workshops, regardless of which studio they called home?

That question became the beginning of Amp'd.

Why We Created Amp'd

At Amp'd, we believe dance is about so much more than learning steps.

It's about building confidence, creating lifelong friendships and discovering opportunities that inspire dancers to grow.

When we imagined Amp'd, we didn't just see a retail store or a studio for hire.

We imagined a destination.

A place where dancers could find everything they needed under one roof—from quality dancewear and competition essentials to inspiring workshops, rehearsals and creative opportunities.

A place where teachers, choreographers and creatives could share their passion, collaborate with others and continue inspiring the next generation.

Most importantly, we wanted to create something that complemented the incredible work already being done by dance studios across the Gold Coast by providing opportunities that brought the wider dance community together.

Because we believe that when we support one another, everyone grows.
